CHAPTER 69 <br /> ADDITIONS AND�,��A�F� <br /> 2. ELECTRICAL CODE. The same having been duly placed and <br /> remained on file as required by law, and subject to the additions, modifications, <br /> changes or deletions set out in this Chapter, the National Electrical Code, �� <br /> 2005 Edition of the National Fire Protection Association, the same being found <br /> and declared by the Council to be regulations as defined by applicable statute, is <br /> hereby adopted by reference and the same to be known, and which may be cited, <br /> as "The Electrical Code" of the City, and which shall have the scope and <br /> applicability as therein set out, except as modified by the provisions of this <br /> Chapter. <br /> 6. PERMIT REQUIRED. <br /> E. -�e-�Coax cable for antenna or computers in e�sting <br /> buildings. <br /> 9. SERVICE SPECIFICATIONS. <br /> A. All newly installed electrical services shall be in conformance with the <br /> �99��2005 edition of the National Electrical Code and with the following: <br /> (1) N.E.C. �3A-� 230.2 Number of services - only one service drop or <br /> lateral shall be pernutted unless written approval by the Inspection Division is <br /> obtained for the conditions (a)through(d) of said Article�39-� 230.2. <br /> (2) N.E.C. �38-�3 230.43 Service - entrance conductors shall be installed <br /> in accordance with the applicable requirements of this code covering the type of <br /> wiring method used and shall be limited to the following methods: <br /> (a) Rigid metal conduit; <br /> (b) Intermediate metal conduit; <br /> (c) Rigid nonxnetal conduit. <br /> Any other method described shall have written consent of the Inspection <br /> Division and local utility company. <br /> (3) N.E.C. �3A-�8 230.70 (A) Location. The service disconnecting <br /> means shall be installed at a readily accessible location either outside of a building <br /> or structure, or inside nearest point of entrance of the service conductors, but not <br /> to exceed ten feet. <br />
