(4) Where city water is available, the electrical service shall be g�e�e� <br /> bonded to the cold water piping with a jumper axound the water meter. <br /> (5) All new non-residential electric services shall have a fault studv <br /> provided usin� the inspection department form and be approved before an <br /> electrical pernut is issued. All new services fed from the utilitv downtown network <br /> shall have a minimum 100.000 A.I.C. rating for the service equivment. Services <br /> fed from a 50 KVA or less transformer will not require the studv be done, but the <br /> transformer size and address shall be listed on the form and si�v the preparer <br /> 10. CODE APPLICATIONS - SPECIFIC <br /> A. New buildings of all types: <br /> 1) The ��2005 edition of the National Fire Protection Association will <br /> be the accepted code for all electrical wiring installations, provided that Article <br /> 210.52 (C)(2) and(3) Shall be optional. <br /> 5) Where feeders are to be used to provide ground-fault protection as <br /> pernutted by NEC �3-9 215.9, a11 Receptacles and lighting protected shall be <br /> labeled at the panel. <br /> 7) Smoke detectors shall be as per 907.2.10 of the International Fire Code <br /> -2003 Edition. <br /> �� When wiring hydromassage tubs, a11 125v circuits shall be a minimum <br /> of 20 amperes and protected by a switch rated GFCI located a minunum distance <br /> of five(5) feet from the tub or protected by a GFCI circuit breaker at the panel. <br /> B. Existing buildings: <br /> 2) l. Service: The size and usage of appliance and equipment <br /> shall be used as the basis for determining the need for additional facilities in <br /> accordance with the latest adopted�edition of this Electrical Code. <br /> 3. Lighting fiactures: Every public hall, interior stairway, <br /> bathroom, laundry room, an�furnace room, basements, and attics or utilitv rooms <br /> used for storage or contain equipment rec�uiring servicing sha11 contain at least one <br /> electric lighting f�ture controlled by a wall switch at the <br /> usual noint of entrv. <br /> 4. (h) The use of the grounded circuit conductor used for <br /> grounding, except as provided�e by NEC �39-�49 250.140 Exception, for such <br /> listed appliances; <br />
