ORDINANCE NO. 2005-44 <br /> AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTION <br /> - MAIN STREET AND EAST AVENUE - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That when appropriate signs are erected giving notice thereof, the driver of a <br /> vehicle on Main Street approaching East Avenue from the east or west shall stop and yield the <br /> right-of-way to vehicles on East Avenue which have entered the intersection of said streets or <br /> which are approaching so closely thereto as to constitute an immediate hazard, but said driver <br />, having so stopped and yielded the right-of-way may proceed at such time as a safe interval occurs. <br /> Section 2. That any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of <br /> this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than Ten Dollars ($10.00) nor more than <br /> Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for each offense. <br /> Section 3.
