. �. <br /> IBEW, one (1) licensed professional engineer, one (1) representative of an <br /> electrical utility, one (1) representative of an electrical product manufacturer and <br /> the Chief of the Decatur Fire Department or his representative; however, no action <br /> or decision of the Commission shall be invalid for failure to have on the <br /> Commission, or in attendance at the meeting or hearing whereat the action or <br /> decision was taken or made, any person meeting any of the criteria listed herein. <br /> Commission members shall serve for a term of three years, said terins to <br /> commence the first day of December. Vacancies shall be filled by the Mayor with <br /> advice and consent of the Council for the unexpired terms. <br /> Section 3. That Section 11 of Chapter 26 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, so that said Section 11 of Chapter 26 <br /> shall provide as follows: <br /> 11. COMMISSION ESTABLISHED. There is hereby created the <br /> Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Commission of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois which shall consist of seven residents of the City, whom shall be appointed <br /> by the Mayor with the advise and consent of the Council. These members <br /> appointed by the Mayor shall be appointed for a term of three years, said ternls to <br /> commence the first day of September. Vacancies shall be filled by the Mayor with <br /> advice and consent of the Council for the unexpired terms. One of those members <br /> appointed by the Mayor shall be a Contractor or Mechanic with at least five years <br /> experience in the installation of steam and hot water boilers and accessory <br /> equipment used for heating; one such member shall be a Contractor or Mechanic <br /> with at least five years experience in the installation and maintenance of coal, gas, <br /> oil or electrical supplied residential heating systems; one such member shall be a <br /> Contractor or Mechanic with at least five years experience in the installation and <br /> maintenance of refrigeration systems; and four such members shall have <br /> qualifications other than those mentioned herein which the Mayor may deem <br /> appropriate for service as such commissioners. <br /> Section 4. That Section 1 of Chapter 27 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, <br /> be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, so that said Section 1 of Chapter 27 shall <br /> provide as follows: <br /> 1. ESTABLISHED. There is hereby established a board of appeals to be <br /> known and designated as the "Construction and Housing Board of Appeals" <br /> consisting of seven residents of the City to be appointed by the Mayor, with the <br /> consent of the Council, for terms of four years, and who shall serve without <br /> compensation. One member of the Board shall at all times be a professionally <br /> trained person familiar with building structures; one member shall be the <br /> Chairperson of the Electrical Commission; one member of the Board shall at all <br /> times be a professionally trained person familiar with sanitation and health <br /> problems; and one member of the Board shall at all times be trained in and familiar <br /> with electrical installations. <br />
