Section 14, BUILDING SEWER OWNERSHIP, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR. This is <br /> a new section which provides definition for the ownership and maintenance <br /> responsibilities for sewer services and the City's authority to direct repairs to be made. <br /> 9. Section 15, EMERGENCY REPAIRS. This is a new section that provides the City the <br /> authority to require repairs to private services considered to represent an immediate <br /> threat to the health, safety and welfare of the public. <br /> 10. Section 16, REINSPECTION OF BUILDING SEWERS. This is a new section that <br /> rewords language currently in Chapter 75, Section 13 and incorporates it into Chapter <br /> 74. <br /> 11. Section 17 PROHIBITIONS AND LIMITATIONS ON USE OF THE PUBLIC SEWERS. <br /> , <br /> This is a new section that identifies various illegal uses of the City's sewer system that <br /> would adversely impact the operation or integrity of the system. This language is <br /> consistent with that of the Sanitary District of Decatur. <br /> 12. Section 18, GREASE, OIL AND SAND TRAPS. This is a new section for the <br /> requirement of interceptors and traps. These devices prevent grease, oil and sand from <br /> getting into the City's sewer system and are associated with commercial or business <br /> uses. <br /> 13. Section 19, CONTROL OF PROHIBITED WASTES. This is a new section that has <br /> been included should the City encounter a situation involving the discharge of industrial <br /> wastes. This language is consistent with that of the Sanitary District of Decatur which <br />, has primary responsibility for this area of regulation. It is added to this chapter as a <br /> measure to support the requirements of the Sanitary District of Decatur. <br /> 14. Section 20, PRIVATE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEMS. This is a new section that <br />, rewords language cuRently in Chapter 75, Section 13 that has been incorporated into <br /> Chapter 74. <br /> 15. Section 21, PRIVATE SEWER SYSTEMS.
