ORDINANCE NO. 2004-78 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 69 - <br /> -ELECTRICAL CODE - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Cha.pter 69 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the <br /> same is hereby, amended and modified at Section 10, so that said Section 10, by adding <br /> subsection 10 (C)thereof, and as amended, shall provide as follows: <br /> 10. CODE APPLICATIONS - SPECIFIC. <br /> C. Swimming Pools. <br /> 1. N.E.C. 680.2 Definitions. (a) Permanently Installed <br /> Swimming, Wading, and Therapeutic Pools. Those that are constructed in the <br /> ground, or the major portion in the ground, and all pools installed inside of a <br /> building, regardless of water depth, whether or not served by electrical circuits <br /> of any nature. <br /> (b) Storable swimming or wading pool. Those that have the major <br /> portion on or above the ground, or a pool with non-metallic, molded <br /> polyrneric walls or inflatable fabric walls regardless of dimension. <br /> 2. N.E.C. 680.23. Underwater Luminaries. This <br /> section covers all lumuiaries (hghting fixtures) u�stalled below the nornlal <br />' water of the pool. (a) Voltage Limitation. No luminaries (lighting fixtures) <br /> shall be installed for operation on supply circuits over 15 volts between <br /> conductors. <br />
