3. N.E.C. 680.31 Pumps. Storable Pools. (a) A <br /> cord-connected pool filter pump shall incorporate an approved system of <br /> double insulation or its equivalent and shall be provided with means for <br /> grounding only the interna.l and non-accessble non-current carrying metal <br /> parts of the appliance. The means for grounding shall be an equipment <br /> grounding conductor run with the power-supply conductors in the flexible <br /> cord that is properly terminated in a grounding-type attachment plug having a <br /> fixed grounding contact member. Pumps shall be listed as "storable type" by a <br /> recognized listing agency that is acceptable to the authority having <br /> jurisdiction. <br /> (b) Receptacles providing power to the pool filter pump shall be <br /> located a miniinum of ten (10) feet from the edge of the pool. Branch circuit <br /> wiring to the receptacles shall be installed in a method as described in Section <br /> 680.21 of the N.E.C. except underground wiring shall be installed in an <br /> approved raceway. <br /> Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause the <br /> provisions hereof to be published in pamphlet form and to be appropriately set out in the City <br />, Code. <br /> Section 3. That Sections 10. C. 1 and 3, as amended, shall become effective and be in full <br /> force and effect immediately upon passage. <br /> Section 4. That Section 10.
