Greg Johnson <br /> LAND USE AND ZONING <br /> Direction Existing Land Use Zoning Comprehensive Plan <br /> Subject Property Vacant R-1 Low Density Residential <br /> North Residential R-1 Low Density Residential <br /> South Church R-1 Low Density Residential <br /> East Residential R-1 Low Density Residential <br /> West Agricultural County Macon County <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> l. The petitioner owns the property to be vacated as well as the abutting property to the south. <br /> There are no utilities in the area to be vacated. The petitioner had planned to utilize the three <br /> lots to finance church development and has since determined that it is no longer necessary. <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> 2. The petitioner is requesting the vacation of the approximately 2.7 acres located at 1235, 1245 <br /> and 1255 West Hickory Point Road. The petitioner would like to vacate the plat to create one <br /> large lot on which the church resides. <br /> STAFF ANALYSIS <br /> 1. The original fifteen (15) foot easement recorded at time of plat will be required to remain as <br /> recorded. <br /> 2. The forty(40) foot right-of way dedicated to the City will remain as recorded. <br />
