Let me summarize the decisions made by the City
and list the additional tasks desired.
The decisions made by the City that impact completion of the Update are as follows: '
1. The City desires to maintain approximately 50 psi as the minimum pressure in
the system during normal operating conditions.
2. The existing elevated tanks will not be replaced in the near future, making it
undesirable to replace them with new taller tanks in the next 3 to 5 years.
3. Ideally, service to the high area in southwest Decatur should be provided by
development of a separate pressure zone downstream of the new south tank. The
south tank overflow elevation will match the overflow elevations of the existing
tanks.
4. he City will provide a lis f Cuitl.ig cmr:ents for in.usion in th:, fi:.a: rp:.
5. The modeling figures will be moved to an appendix in the report.
Tasks that you have requested to finalize the Update are listed below:
1. Revise the extended period simulation demonstrating the performance of the
elevated tanks to fully refill the tanks during a series of maximum days. Revise
the report figures accordingly.
2. Add an extended period simulation demonstrating the performance of the
elevated tanks over a series of average days. Add the necessary figures to the
report.
