1 • <br /> As in past years, staff desires the ability to be more responsive to the citizens of the City by <br /> making a strong effort to improve the timeliness of necessary sidewalk replacement / repair. <br /> Added sidewalk replacement volume will improve the condition of the City's sidewalks in the <br /> Concord/Phoenix Park neighborhood area. <br /> WAS CON Co., provided the low bid for the proposed work. Staff recommends that the City <br /> Council award a contract with WAS CON Co. to perform the Concord / Phoenix Park <br /> Neighborhood Sidewalk Replacement Project. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to this resolution <br /> and bid award. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Vickie Buckingham, Assistant Director of EUD <br /> Terry Cunningham, Neighborhood & Housing <br /> Planner, EUD <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Steven Swanson, Director of Engineering & <br /> Infrastructure, at 424-2747 <br /> Matt Newell, City Engineer, at 424-2747 <br /> Travis Stanley, Civil Engineer I, at 424-2747 <br /> The Director of Engineering and Infrastructure, Steven Swanson, and City Engineer, Matt <br /> Newell, will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any questions of the Council <br /> on this item. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Funding for this project will come from the Community Development Block Grant Fund. The <br /> recommended low bid amount is $69,482.00.
