EXHIBiT"A" <br /> EQUAL EMPLOYM�NT OPPORTUNITY CLAUSE required by the Illinois Fair Emplayment <br /> Practices <br /> Commission as e material term of all public contracts: <br /> �QUAL EMPL.OYMENT OPPORTUNiTY <br /> In the event of the contractor's noncompliance with any provision of this �qual <br /> Ernployment Opportunity Clause, the lllinois �air Employment Practices Act or the Fair <br /> Ernployment Practioes Commission's Rufes and Regulatiions far Public cantracts, the contractor <br /> may be d�clared nonresponsible and therefore ineligible for future contracts or subcontracts <br /> with the State of Illinois or any of its politica) subdivision or municipal corporations, and the <br /> contract may be canceled or avoided in whole or in part, and such other sanctions or penaltiss <br /> may be impvsed or remedies invakPd as provided by statute or regulation. <br /> During the performance of this contract, the contractor agrees as follows; <br /> (1} That it will nat discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment <br /> because of race, color, religion, sex, natfonal ongin or ancestry; and further that it wif! examine <br /> a11 job classificatians to determine if minority persons or women are undar-utilized and will take <br /> appropriat� affirmative action to rectify any such under-utilization. <br /> �2) Thak, if it hires additional ernplayees in order to pertorm this contract, or any <br /> portion hereof, it will determine the �vailability (in accardance wi�h the Comm�ssion's Rules and <br /> R�gule�tions for Public Contr2�cts) af minarities and women in the area(s) from which it may <br /> reascnably recruit and it will hire for each job classificafiion for which employees are hired in <br /> such 2 way that minorities �nd women are no� under-utiliz�d. <br /> (3) That, in aU solicitations or advertisements for employess placed by it ar fln its <br /> behalf, it will state that all applicants will be afford�d equal opportunity without discrimination <br /> because of race, color, religion, sex, natianal origin or ances#ry. <br /> (4) That it will send to each labor organi�atian or representative of 4vorl�ers with <br /> which it has or Is bound by a oalfective bargaining or other agreement or undersianding, a <br /> notice advising such labor organfzation or representative af the cantractor's obligations under <br /> the Ilfinois Fair Employment Pr�CCices Act 2�nd the Commisslon's Rules and RegulatiQns for <br /> Public Cantrac:s. If any such labor organization or representative fails or reFuses to coc�perate <br /> with the contra�tor �n its eff�rts to comply Lvith such Act and Rules and Regulations, the <br /> co►itractor will pr�rnptly so noiify the Illinois Fair Employment Practices Commission and th� <br /> contracting agency and wil! recruit employees from other sources when necessary to fulfill its <br /> obligations thereunc#er. <br /> (5) 7hat it will submit reports as required by the Illinois Fair Employment Practices <br /> Commission's Rules and Regulations for Public Contracts, furnish 21! televarlt information as <br /> may from time to time be requested by the Commission ar the contracting agency, and in a;l <br /> respr�cts comply with the lllinais Fair Employment Practices Act and the Commissien's Ru(es <br /> and Regulatiens for Public Contracts. <br />
