Mi er, AICP, Senior Planner K���! <br /> SUBJECT: Grant of Easement - 432 East Prairie Avenue <br /> SUNIl�IARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the attached.resolution <br /> authorizing a 275 square foot easement to be granted to Central Illinois Real Estate Investments ', <br /> LLC to permit the placement of a handicapped ramp on property owned by the City. <br /> BACKGROLND: The buildina at 432 East Prairie Avenue will house the UCP Land of Lincoln �! <br /> O <br /> office. They are in need of a handicapped accessible ramp for their clients and the only location <br /> for the ramp is on City property. The area of the ramp location is adjacent to the building and ' <br /> part of the Mill Street right-of-way. The ramp structure will not impede pedestrian or vehicular , <br /> traffic. The Department of Engineering and Infrastructure will over see the construction of the <br /> ramp that will be fitnded with CDBG funds for sidewalks and ramps. The petitioner has paid a <br /> fee of$1.00 per square foot of easement area($275.00) for compensation for the use of the area. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJE�TIONS: No objections have been received. <br /> INPVT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The easement documents have been reviewed by and found <br /> satisfactory to both the Department of Engineering and Infrastructure and the Legal Department. <br /> STAFF REFERENCES: If Council members have questions they may contact Kathy Miller at <br /> 424-2786 or at kjmiller@decaturnet.org. <br /> BUDGET/T� IlV�LICATIONS: None <br />
