First Transit <br /> recognizes the importance attached to the employment issue and the necessary deliberations that are <br /> required by the City. In order to allow the City the necessary time to conduct its review, we are willing to <br /> extend the contract for an additional three (3)month period,with all terms and conditions of the current <br /> extension. <br /> To reiterate our previous discussion on this matter, it is First Transit's position that we are willing and able <br /> to provide management services as specified in the RFP, regardless of the employment status of the system <br /> employees. Should you believe that additional time may be required before a decision is made on the <br /> employment issue, I would like to suggest that you add language to the contract extension that absent a 30 <br /> day notice of the City's intent to implement, amend, or end the contract, that the extension and contract <br /> terms would roll over for an additional three (3)months,with a maximize rollover term of six (6) months. <br /> This language would provide adequate time for the City to conduct its evaluation without the necessity of <br /> returning for a formal action on an additional contract extension, if needed, <br /> Again, thank you for your assistance with this matter.
