Love, eighborhood Programs Manager �C/ '— <br /> SUBJECT: FY04-OS Annual Action Plan for CDBG and HOME Funds <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends adoption of the FY04-OS Annual Action Plan for the allocation of CDBG and <br /> HOME funds. The U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development reviewed and <br /> approved the City's Annual Action Plan for FY04-OS <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> In accordance with the guidelines set forth by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban <br /> Development (HUD), Neighborhood Redevelopment Division develops an Annual Action Plan <br /> describing funding allocations for the upcoming year along with strategic implementation of <br /> priorities identified in the City's five year Consolidated Plan. The City Council reviewed the <br /> funding allocations prior to the adoption of the City's budget. <br /> Last year, City Council was provided complete copies of the Annual Action Plan. It is a rather <br /> large document and several were returned to stafF Therefore, this year only the funding <br /> allocation, and strategy implementation sections are being provided. Should any member of the <br /> City Council want a complete copy of the Annual Action Plan, staff witl provide that upon <br /> request. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: <br /> Staffis not aware of any objections. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: <br /> Should City Council have any questions, they may contact Linda Love, Neighborhood Programs <br /> Manager at 424-2777 or e-mail ljlove@decaturnet.org. <br />
