AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> FOR <br /> CITY OF DECATUR <br /> WATER MAIN from the SWTP to the ELEVATED T S <br /> ROUTE STUDY and PROJECT PLAN <br /> THIS AGREEMENT made at Decatur, Illinois, this�day of I �� �003, <br /> by and between the City of Decatur, hereinafter referred to as the "OWNER" and Bainbridge, <br /> Gee, Milanski & Associates, Inc., 1670 South Taylorville Road, Decatur, Illinois 62521, <br /> hereinafter refened to as the "ENGINEER", WITNESSETH: <br /> The OWNER proposes to engage the ENGINEER to provide professional services for <br /> the preparation of an engineering Project Plan for the routing of a water main e�ending from the <br /> South Water Treatment Plant to the elevated tanks located on Ga.rfield Avenue and Division <br /> Street, as recommended in the 2002 Water System Master Plan, and assist the City with a pre- <br /> application for an IEPA Revolving Loan, herein refened to as the PROJECT. <br /> Said Project has been designated CITY PROJECT�U��-�� <br /> TI�REFORE, in consideration of these premises and mutual covenants of the above described <br /> PROJECT, <br /> THE ENGINEER AGREES, <br /> 1. Scoae of Work <br /> a. To prepare a plan of the recommended route corridor showing properties, rights <br /> of way, and utilities for the following improvements recommended in the 2002 <br /> Water System Master Plan: <br /> 30"water main from SWTP to Garfield Ave. <br /> 16"water main from new 30" main to Division St. Elevated Tank <br /> 16" water main from new 30" main to Ga.�eld Ave. Elevated Tank <br /> b. To identify potential alternative water ma.in routes. <br /> c. To investigate each alternative for conflicts with governmental and significant <br /> developmental planning. <br /> d. To prepaze estimates of costs for each alternative. <br /> e. To meet with the OWNER to discuss the various alternatives and gain input to <br /> the ranking of alternatives. <br /> f. To rank the alternatives on the basis of cost, future planning, serviceability, <br /> implementability and environmental impacts. <br /> BGM 03-091 Page 1 <br />
