The project specifications were prepared by the Engineering Division. The project was <br /> advertised on July 18, 2003 and bids were opened on August 5, 2003. The results of the letting <br /> are as follows (bid tabulation attached): <br /> Compared to <br /> Engineer's Est. <br /> Bidder Bid Price Over(;Under� <br /> Engineer's Estimate $164,567.50 ----- <br /> Bodine Services, Inc. $139,950.00 (-14.96%) <br /> Burdick Plumbing& <br /> Heating Co., Inc. $145,420.00 (-11.64%) <br /> Entler Excavating Co., Inc. $148,705.00 (- 9.64%) <br /> Hoerr Construction, Inc. $198,040.00 20.34% <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: <br /> The Country Club Harbour Estates Homeowners Association expressed concern regarding the <br /> removal of trees needed to install the water main on the East side of Lake Ridge Avenue. The <br /> water main replacement will now be located on the West side of Lake Ridge Avenue to avoid the <br /> removal of the trees. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, City Engineer, at 424-2747 <br /> Richard Berard, Civil Engineer II, at 424-2747 <br /> The City Engineer, Matt Newell, will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any <br /> questions of the Council on this item. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Funding for this project is currently budgeted in the City's Water Operating Fund.
