R2003-127 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING TRANSFER OF JURISDICTION WHEREAS, the County of Macon ("County") currently has jurisdiction and control over Mound Road from IL. Rt.. 121 to the east curb line of Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive and Greenswitch Road from IL. Rt.. 48 to Mound Road; and, WHEREAS, the County wishes to transfer jurisdiction thereof to the City of Decatur; and, WHEREAS, the City is willing to accept responsibilities of the two roads located within the City of Decatur; and, WHEREAS, the County currently has jurisdiction and control over Mound Road from IL. Rt. 121 from the east curb line of Martin Luther King,Jr., Drive to Brush College Road; and, WHEREAS, effective July 1, 2007, the County wishes to transfer jurisdiction thereof to the City of Decatur; and, WHEREAS, effective July 1, 2007, the City is willing to accept responsibility of the road located in the City of Decatur; and, WHEREAS, the City of Decatur currently has jurisdiction and control over Brush College Road from Fairies Parkway to Harrison Avenue and Baltimore Avenue (City Sections) from U.S. 36 to south of Bentonville Road; and, WHEREAS, the City wishes to transfer jurisdiction thereof to the County of Macon; and, WHEREAS, the County is willing to accept responsibilities of the two roads located within City of Decatur.
