R2003-127 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING <br /> TRANSFER OF JURISDICTION <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Macon ("County") currently has jurisdiction and control over <br /> Mound Road from IL. Rt.. 121 to the east curb line of Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive and <br /> Greenswitch Road from IL. Rt.. 48 to Mound Road; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the County wishes to transfer jurisdiction thereof to the City of Decatur; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City is willing to accept responsibilities of the two roads located within <br /> the City of Decatur; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the County currently has jurisdiction and control over Mound Road from IL. <br /> Rt. 121 from the east curb line of Martin Luther King,Jr., Drive to Brush College Road; and, <br /> WHEREAS, effective July 1, 2007, the County wishes to transfer jurisdiction thereof to <br /> the City of Decatur; and, <br /> WHEREAS, effective July 1, 2007, the City is willing to accept responsibility of the road <br /> located in the City of Decatur; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur currently has jurisdiction and control over Brush College <br /> Road from Fairies Parkway to Harrison Avenue and Baltimore Avenue (City Sections) from U.S. <br /> 36 to south of Bentonville Road; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City wishes to transfer jurisdiction thereof to the County of Macon; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the County is willing to accept responsibilities of the two roads located <br /> within City of Decatur. <br />
