The Engineer's Estimate was determined with the assistance of quotes received
over a year ago from area contractors on a more limited scope of work. Additionally, staff
underestimated the true cost of the rock base material that is to be used and the work area
constraints that will be placed upon the contractor during construction.
POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to this resolution
and bid award.
INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None
STAFF REFERENCE: Travis Stanley, Civil Engineer I, at 424-2747
Matt Newell, City Engineer, at 424-2747
Steve Swanson, Director of Eng. and Infrastructure, at 424-2747
The Director of Engineering & Infrastructure, Steve Swanson, will be in attendance at the City
Council meeting to answer any questions of the Council on this item.
BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS:
Funding for this project will come from the City's Water Operating Capital Projects Fund.
