FY-2004 TRANSIT PLANNING PROGRAM 102 Coordination & Information: To administer all aspects of the Decatur Public Transit System (DPTS) including public meetings, news releases, staff coordination, documentation and certification. 103 Transportation Support: To administer in a timely manner all aspects of transit planning contracts, including preparation of funding applications, financial and program status reports, quarterly reports and invoices. 106 Unified Transportation Planning Work Program (UTPWP): To develop the annual planning work program (the FY 2005 UTPWP) that addresses multi- modal transportation issues/problems. 201 Data Collection &Analysis: To collect and analyze socio-economic information and information on various transportation modes and systems in the Decatur Urbanized Area, and to maintain current assessment of Transit ridership, revenues and expenditures, and routes and service. 501 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP): To maintain an up-dated three '� year, multi-modal TIP, the FY 2005 - FY 2007 Transportation Improvement I Program including capital and operating expenses. 502 Transportation Systems Management: To review and analyze transit management including: 1) DPTS performance standards; 2) DPTS' performance relative to other transit systems; 3) on/off board transit passenger surveys to assist with designing more efficient routes and schedules; 4) transit fares, scheduling, routing, service for the disabled, DBE/WBE/MBE participation, and private enterprise involvement in transit; 5)transit fleet replacement; 6) security inspections to determine quality of service; and 7) identify any problems in the operational, maintenance or administrative areas of transit. 503 Long Range Transportation Plan: To develop a long range transportation plan update, the 2025 Long Range Transportation Plan.
