Alexander, Director of Water Management I�,� <br /> tf 1 <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> South Water Treatment Plant Standby Generator Addition <br /> City Project 2001-04, Change Order No. 4 <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing Change Order No. 4. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Staff and the City's engineering and construction consultant for this project, Black & Veatch, <br /> Inc., recommend approval of Change Order No. 4 at a cost of$11,818. With approval of this <br /> change order, the total construction change order amount to date is $26,762, which is 3.04 % of <br /> the original procurement and construction bid. Council approval is required since the change <br /> order is in excess of $5,000. The change order provides for external fuel supply and return <br /> piping heat tracing & insulation, which are necessary for the fuel system to operate during cold <br /> weather.
