R2003-14 <br /> � <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING <br /> WITH THE ILLINOIS ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY ', <br /> -NOTICE OF INTENT- ' <br /> WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency has established <br /> requirements for storm water management that are applicable to the City- of Decatur, such <br /> requirements being known as the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System ("NPDES"); <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant thereto, the State of Illinois Environmental Protection Agency <br /> ("IEPA")has issued a statewide permit, the General NPDES Permit No. ILR40; and, <br /> WHEREAS, in order to comply with the NPDES, it is necessary for the City of Decatur <br /> to file a notice of intent with the IEPA. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Engineering and Infrastructure be, and he is hereby, <br /> authorized and directed to prepare and submit to the IEPA a notice of intent to be covered by the <br /> NPDES, as descnbed herein, not later than March 10, 2003, and place the same on file in the <br /> office of the City Clerk, and that said officer be, and he is further authorized and directed to <br /> administer the City's NPDES program in compliance with said statewide permit and the <br /> requirements thereof. <br /> PRESENTED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of February, 2003. <br /> ,_.--,....�_... - <br /> ,., <br /> T Y M.
