REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br /> - FUELING STATION CANOPY - <br /> l. Description: Proposals and bids("bids") are requested for furnishing the Cit}� of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, (the "City"), with the following structure: canopy over the bus fueling station. The <br /> structure shall be no less than 29' and no more than 36' in length, and shall be supported by a <br /> single row of structural beams. The canopy shall consist of a roof and one wall, which will <br /> extend the full length and height of the west side of the structure. The roof shall project out over <br /> the bus lane at least 10' beyond the face of the curb, and the roof structure shall have a minimum <br /> clear height of 11' measured at the face of the curb. Time and Place of Bid Openin� Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Mass Transit <br /> Administrator unti14:00 p.m. (Central Time) on November l, 2002. The bid opening will take <br /> place there, at that time. Bids will be opened in public and read to those in attendance. <br /> 3. Right of Selection/Rejection: The City reserves the right to accept any bid or any part or <br /> parts thereof, or to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in any bid received, and to <br /> waive minor deviations from these instructions. However, any bid which is not in the proper <br /> format, does not follow the instructions, or does not provide the information requested, may be <br /> subject to immediate rejection. Acceptance of any bid is subject to concurrence by the Illinois <br /> Department of Transportation and the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit <br /> Administration. <br /> 4. Fundin�: Any contract resulting from these bids is subject to financial assistance contracts <br /> between the City of Decatur and the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit <br /> Administration, and the Illinois Department of Transportation. <br /> 5. Equal Employment Opportunitv(EEO) Compliance: Contractors will be required to comply <br /> with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and rebulations. <br /> 6. Bid Modification and Withdrawal: Prior to the date/time set for bid opening, bids may be <br /> modified or withdrawn. After the submittal due date/time, bids may not be modified or <br /> withdrawn for ninety(90) calendar days.
