8. Additional or extended services during construction made necessary by <br /> (1)work damaged by fire or other cause during construction, (2)a <br /> significant amount of defective or neglected work by any Contractor, (3) <br /> acceleration of the progress schedule involving service beyond normal <br /> working hours, (4) default by any Contractor, and(5) failure of the <br /> Contractor to complete the work within the construction contract time. <br /> 9. Evaluate change orders or claims submitted by the Contractor or others <br /> in connection with the work. <br /> 10. Assist the Owner in selection of furniture. <br /> 3. COMPENSATION AND PAYMENT <br /> For the services covered by this amendment,the Owner agrees to pay the Design <br /> Professional as follows: <br /> A. Office and Field Support During Construction <br /> For services described in this Amendment as 1 B and 1 C, an amount equal to <br /> the Design Professional's salary times 2.95,plus reimbursable expenses, and <br /> plus subcontract billings times 1.05,with total billings including reimbursable <br /> expenses not to exceed$170,750 without the authorization of the Owner. The <br /> not to exceed amount is based on the amount of time/date for completion of <br /> construction in the agreement between the Owner and Contractor. Owner <br /> agrees that an extension of time to the Contractor may entitle the Design <br /> Professional to additional compensation. <br /> B. Supplemental Services <br /> For supplemental services, an amount equal to the Design Professional's <br /> salary times 2.95,plus reimbursable expenses, and plus subcontract billings <br /> times 1.05.
