<br /> be seen as one travels along a roadway,waterway, or path. The view may be to a far away or
<br /> a nearby object.
<br /> SCHOOLS, COMMERCIAL: Establishments which offer instruction, usually for a fee.
<br /> Examples of these establishments include barber and beauty schools,business colleges,
<br /> dance instruction, driving schools (automobile and motorcycle only), gymnastics academies,
<br /> martial arts academies, and real estate schools. :
<br /> SCRAP PROCESSING, COMMODITY: Business operations engaged in the purchase,
<br /> collection or accumulation of sorted scrap material consisting of or substantially resembling
<br /> the following: newsprint,paper, glass and tin or aluminum cans for the purpose of binding,
<br /> crushing,bundling,packaging, transporting or commercial resale of the sorted scrap material
<br /> so accumulated.
<br /> SCRAP PROCESSING, INDUSTRIAL: Business operations engaged in the purchase,
<br /> collection or accumulation of sorted scrap materials consisting of or substantially resembling
<br /> the following: scrap material, cuttings or trimmings, industrial scrap or by products, machine
<br /> or equipment parts,paper or rags for the principal purpose of binding,baling, compacting,
<br /> cutting,packing, shipping, transporting or commercial resale of the sorted scrap material so -
<br /> accumulated.
<br /> SELF SERVICE STORAGE FACILITY: Any building designed or used to provide separate
<br /> storage rooms to individuals or businesses for a fee or rental, said rooms being intended
<br /> solely as dead storage depositories for personal property, inventory, and equipment, and not �
<br /> for any other commercial or industrial use. Also commonly called mini-warehouses. See
<br /> also Warehouse, Private.
<br /> SETBACK, FRONT YARD: The minimum required horizontal distance between the building
<br /> and the right-of-way line. Front yard setback may also be referred to as the"required front
<br /> yard.,,
<br /> SETBACK LINE: A line within a lot or other parcel of land which denotes the area between
<br /> such line and the adj acent lot line where structures are prohibited, except utility transformer
<br /> vaults and those structures permitted under the provisions of this Ordinance.

<br /> and the rear lot line. Rear yard setback may also be referred to as the"required rear yard."
<br /> SIGN: Any object, device, display, or structure, or part thereof, situated outdoors or indoors,
<br /> which is used to advertise, identify, direct or attract attention to a person, institution,
<br /> business,product, service, cause, event, or location by any visual means.
<br /> SIGN,DIRECTIONAL: Any sign whose message is primarily for the purpose of guiding the
<br /> circulation of motorists or pedestrians on the site.
<br /> SIGN, ELECTRONIC MESSAGE UNIT: A sign whose alphabetic,pictographic or symbolic
<br /> informational content can be changed or altered on a fixed display sign panel or screen �
<br /> composed of electronically illuminated segments.
