, Z � <br /> SECTION 2. The COMPANY shaIi prepare the general urterconnection plans and detailed <br /> estimates of cost. These general Iayout plans and estimates shatl be submitted to the CITY aad to the <br /> Illinois Commerce Commission. <br /> SECTION 3. AlI required installation work ax the grade crossing(s) shail be performed by the <br /> COMPANY with its own forces or as otherwise provided herein. In the event the COMPANY intends to <br /> use forces other than its own under a continuing cocrtra.ct or contracts, the COMPANY shall indicate in <br /> each estimate the items of work to be accomplished under such contract or co�.racts and list in each <br /> estimate the names of each contractor whose services will be used to perform the work. If the estimate of <br /> cost for such work (including labor, materials, and/or equipmern) performed by forces o�her than the <br /> COMPANY exceeds $10,000, said contract or contra,cts shalI be secured by competitive bids in � <br /> accordance with the provisions of the"Policy Guide". Such contra.cts shall be in compliance with the Civil i <br /> Rights Act of 1964 and implementing regulations applicable to Federal-Aid Projects as well as the IIlinois <br /> Fair Employmeut Practices Act and implementing rules and regulations. <br />� <br /> SECTION 4. The COMPANY will not begin to work without written authoriza.tion from the <br /> CTTY to proceed. Upon receipt of authorizatioq the COMPANY shall promptly begin the work set forth <br /> in the agreement and shall notify in writing the Agencies listed on E�chibit A before commencing work. <br />_ SEC'TION 5. The COMPANY, for performance of its work as herein specified, may bill the <br /> CTTY monthly (in sets of two) for the CTTY'S 100% share of the cost of materials purchased, delivered <br /> and stored on the COMPANY'S property but not yet installed. The m�terials will become the property of <br /> the CTTY and must be designated for e�cclusive use on the project designated on Exhibit A. <br /> In the event of any loss of material after payment,the COMPANY will replace the material at no <br /> cost to the CTTY. The storage area of such materials shall be available to CITY inspection upon 24-hour <br />
