R2001-172 <br /> RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT <br /> MACON COUNTY SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION <br /> -DISTRICT FOUNDATION AND RICHLAND COMMUNITY COLLEGE - <br /> WHEREAS, the Macon County Soil and Water Conservation District Foundation plans <br /> to construct a District Building on the Richland Community College Campus; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Macon County Soil and Water Conservation District Foundation will <br /> provide leased space to the United States Department of Agriculture as well as other agencies <br /> involved in watershed protection or agriculture efforts; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the partnership between the Macon County Soil and Water Conservation <br /> District Foundation and Richland Community College will strengthen the agricultural curriculum <br /> so vital to the community; and, <br /> WHEREAS, this partnership has the potential to attract future jobs related to the <br /> agricultural and conservation industries. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Decatur does hereby support the <br /> partnership between the Macon County Soil and Water Conservation District Foundation and <br /> Richland Community College in their efforts to further broaden agricultural and conservation <br /> measures. <br /> PRESENTED and ADOPTED this 4th day of September, 2001. <br /> TERRY M.
