, , � <br /> COUNCIL MEMORANDUM <br /> #2001-16 <br /> August 24, 2001 <br /> TO: T'he Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Steve Garman ity Manager <br /> RE: Support Resoluti n <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council approve the <br /> attached resolution extending its support for the proposed construction of a building on the <br /> Richland Community College campus. <br /> BACKGROUND: The Macon County Soil and Water Conservation District Foundation <br /> proposes to build a District Building on Richland Community College campus for the purpose of <br /> partnering with Richland to attract future jobs related to the agricultural and conservation <br /> industries as well as leasing additional space to other agencies involved in watershed protection <br /> or agriculture. A Summary of Benefits is attached. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Steve Garman, City Manager, or Marilyn Parker, Executive Director <br /> of the Macon County Soil and Water Conservation District, 877-5670, ext. 3. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: None. <br /> Attachment <br />
