CITY OF DECATUR ILLINOIS <br /> � <br /> TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (TIP) <br /> The purchase of two,raised-roof,wheelchair lift equipp�d vans was included in the Annual <br /> (FY 2002) Element of the FY 2002 - FY 2004 Transportation Improvement Program(TIP) for <br /> the Decatur urbanized azea, as shown below: <br /> ANNUAL ELEMENT/FY 2002 <br /> Project Project Total Cost Source of Funds ($1,000) <br /> Number Description $( 1,000� FTA State C� <br /> 2002-2 1 Accessible Paratransit Van 80.0 64.0 16.0 0.0 <br /> 2003-2 1 Accessible Pazatransit Van 80.0 64.0 16.0 0.0 <br /> The following narrative description followed the listing of projects in the TIP: <br /> Project <br /> Number Proiect Description <br /> 2002-2 & 2 ACCESSIBLE PARATRANSIT VANS: purchase two raised-roof, wheelchair <br /> 2003-2 lift equipped vans. <br /> The FY 2002 -FY 2004 TIP is now in the process of being approved. On May 15, 2001, the <br /> draft TIP was tentatively approved by the Policy Committee of the Decatur Urbanized Area <br /> Transportation Study, and placed on file for public review for 30 days. At this time, no <br /> comments have been received relating to this project. The TIP is expected to be formally <br /> approved by the Policy Committee when the 30 day review period expires. <br /> PUBLIC NOTICE <br /> Adequate notice of the proposed TIP was distributed and published, and copies of the draft TIP <br /> were placed on file for public review. Attached is a copy of the notice that was posted in various <br /> public places, alerting the public of the proposed TIP approval and directing them to places <br /> where copies of the draft TIP could be found for review. A lazge print version of this same <br /> notice, on 11"X 17" sheets,was posted in all of the City buses. A similar notice was also <br /> published in the local newspaper. Attached is a copy of the "certificate of publication" for this <br /> newspaper advertisement. <br />
