b. Reimbursement of direct expenses for items such as subconsultants, outside services, � <br /> printing or like direct costs incurred in the pursuance of the work at actual cost, plus <br /> 5%. <br /> c. Transportation for all employees when engaged in the pursuance of the work at forty <br /> cents ($0.40) per mile. <br /> Technical payroll costs are defined as the salaries paid for regular time and overtime <br /> (including any premium overtime)worked, plus provision for applicable annual salary related <br /> expenses, including sick leave, vacation pay, holiday pay and other ordinary and customary <br /> paid time o� the employer's portion of social security, unemployment and other payroll taxes, <br /> Employee's Retirement and Benefit plan contributions, employer's portion of group <br /> hospitalization and medical insurance, and the cost of worker's compensation insurance. <br /> The total of our invoicing would be the aggregate of items a, b and c. <br /> 2. The total compensation for services 1 a through 1 h listed under "THE ENGINEER <br /> AGREES", sha11 not exceed $47,000.00. This amount will not be exceeded by the <br /> ENGINEER without written authorization from the CITY. <br /> 3. The location, number of easements andlor parcels of land needed for the project are not <br /> known at this time. For this reason the engineering services needed in conjunction with <br /> property acquisition are also unknown. Therefore property searches, property surveys, <br /> preparation of easement documents, preparation of plats, and all other engineering services <br /> performed in association with the acquisition of property and easements shall be paid for in <br /> accordance with Section 1 of"THE CITY AGREES" and total compensation shall not <br /> exceed $7,500.00. This amount will not be exceeded by the ENGINEER without written <br /> authorization from the CITY. <br /> 4. The site for the elevated storage tank is unknown at this time. Depending on where a site is <br /> chosen, the Army Corps of Engineers may or may not require a Wetlands Deternunation. If <br /> a wetland is impacted, avoidance or mitigation may be necessary. For that reason the cost <br /> of a Wetland Deternunation, and/or any additional engineering services needed as a result of <br /> wetlands mitigation or avoidance sha11 be paid for in accordance with Section 1 of"THE <br /> CITY AGREES" and total compensation shall not exceed $10,000.00. This amount will not <br /> be exceeded by the ENGINEER without written authorization from the CITY. <br /> 5. The site for the elevated storage tank is unknown at this time. Depending on where a site is <br /> chosen, the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency may or may not require a Phase I <br /> Archaeological Survey. Based on the results of a Phase I survey, the State Historic <br /> Preservation Officer may require further investigations. For that reason the cost of a Phase <br /> I Archaeological Survey, and/or any additional archaeological investigations needed sha11 be <br /> paid for in accordance with Section 1 of"THE CITY AGREES" and total compensation <br /> shall not exceed $5,000.00.
