It was a pleasure to visit, and in <br /> particular, discuss current challenges and possible options to consider for the <br /> downtown. Per your request, LDR International, Inc., an HNTB Company, is <br /> pleased to submit this urban design services proposal for downtown Decatur. <br /> This proposal outlines our proposed work scope, schedule and professional <br /> fees. We assume that the study area for this work phase will include Central <br /> Park and the Civic Center site. <br /> Scope of Services <br /> Based on our discussions, we have divided our proposal into two focus areas <br /> as follows: <br /> Area 1 — Central Park <br /> Area 2 — Civic Center Site <br /> For each of these areas we will develop design alternatives and refine a <br /> selected concept plan for the client's use. Our objective will be to work <br /> closely with the City to develop creative enhancement concepts that can be <br /> implemented for the key areas identified above. <br /> Base Mapping <br /> Since the city does not have base maps available for the study areas outlined, <br /> we will draft base maps by hand for each of the study areas. We wil) draw <br /> these from aerial photos provided by the City. We have not included time or <br /> costs in this proposal for any CADD drafting. As a result, base maps for our <br />
