It was a pleasure to visit, and in particular, discuss current challenges and possible options to consider for the downtown. Per your request, LDR International, Inc., an HNTB Company, is pleased to submit this urban design services proposal for downtown Decatur. This proposal outlines our proposed work scope, schedule and professional fees. We assume that the study area for this work phase will include Central Park and the Civic Center site. Scope of Services Based on our discussions, we have divided our proposal into two focus areas as follows: Area 1 — Central Park Area 2 — Civic Center Site For each of these areas we will develop design alternatives and refine a selected concept plan for the client's use. Our objective will be to work closely with the City to develop creative enhancement concepts that can be implemented for the key areas identified above. Base Mapping Since the city does not have base maps available for the study areas outlined, we will draft base maps by hand for each of the study areas. We wil) draw these from aerial photos provided by the City. We have not included time or costs in this proposal for any CADD drafting. As a result, base maps for our
