Surveys <br /> or any field verification of base information is not included in this proposal. <br /> Area 1 — Central Park <br /> We will prepare up to three alternative concepts for the redevelopment of <br /> Central Park. Concepts will be prepared at a scale of 1"=50'. The selected <br /> alternative will be illustrated in color at a scale of 1"= 20'. A preliminary <br /> LDRestimate of probable cost for the selected alternative will be prepared. Key <br /> program elements and issues to be addressed include: <br /> terna�on <br /> A N H N T B � o M P A N Y A. Fountain: a new fountain that can be constructed within the City's budget <br /> parameters ($150-250K ?, to be determined) <br /> B. Bandshell: a new performance space/ bandshell and related seating area <br /> for the park. <br /> C. Sidewalks: improvements to existing paved sidewalk and gathering areas. <br /> D. Landscape Improvements: redesign and simplify the park landscape to <br /> provide the most visual impact externally and internally. Maintenance <br /> considerations will also be addressed in the design concept. <br /> E. Site Furnishings: develop a family of lighting, benches, trash receptacles <br /> and other furnishings to provide quality and consistency on the site. <br /> F. Signage: address "park identity", quantity and quality of existing signs as <br /> well as other park clutter. <br /> G. Transfer House: recommend site improvements that enhance the area <br /> adjacent to this facility. <br /> Area 2 — Civic Center Site <br /> A. We will review the existing Civic Center site and develop two alternative <br /> concepts to address the following: <br /> • Possible additional direct access to Franklin Street. <br /> • Improvements to the green space adjacent to Franklin Street to make it <br /> more "user friendly" and possibly introduce additional monuments in <br /> this area. <br /> • Landscape improvements to the access drive from North Street and ' <br /> Civic Center parking area ; <br /> B. We will develop prepare an estimate of probable cost for landscape <br /> improvements to the overall Civic Center site. <br />
