, � <br /> MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> DECATUR POLICE BENEVOLENT <br /> AND PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION LABOR COMMITTEE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR. ILLINOIS <br /> This Agreement is entered into between the City of Decatur, Illinois, hereinafter referred <br /> to as CITY and, Decatur Police Benevolent and Protective Association Labor Committee, <br /> hereinafter referred to as iJNION, the same being signed on behalf of the City by its City Manager <br /> and on behalf of the Union by its President. <br /> ARTICLE 1 <br /> GENERAL <br /> Section 1. This Agreement is entered into for the purpose of promoting harmonious <br /> relations between the City and the Union; the establishment of an equitable and peaceful <br /> procedure for the resolution of differences; and to promote the morale, rights, privileges and well <br /> being of the employees of the Classified Police Service setting forth the mutual understanding of <br /> the parties as to the wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment for whom the <br /> employer has recognized the Union as the exclusive bargaining representative. <br /> Section 2. All persons in the Classified Police Service shall regard themselves as <br /> employees of the public and are to be governed by the highest ideals of honesty and integrity in all <br /> their public and personal conduct in order that they may merit the respect and confidence of the <br /> public which employs them and which they serve. <br /> 1 <br />
