In 1973, approximately 76 acres were annexed to the City of Decatur. The tract was planned <br /> for an industrial park and a residential subdivision; the industrial park was developed but the <br /> residential area did not develop. Currently the subject tract is being used for a contractar's <br /> yard and for agricultural use. <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> l. The request is to rezone the property from R-1 Single Family Residential District to M-1 <br /> Intense Commercial, Light Industrial District to reflect the current and future use of the site. <br /> The Decatur Area Urban Land Use Plan shows all of the area as M-1 Light Industrial. <br /> STAFF ANALYSIS <br /> L The subject property is surrounded by M-1 Intense Commercial, Light Industrial Zoning; the <br /> area is developed as an Industrial Park and for agricultural purposes.
