Gahwiler, reques�ing the vacation by the City Council of an alley in the City of Decatur, Illinois described as: The 16 foot alleyway located between Lots 1-8 and Lots 9-16 in Block 4 of Rolling Mill Third Addition as per plat recorded in Book _ 50 on Page 380 of the Records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois; and, WHEREAS, said alley is no longer useful to the public or to the City or to the owner of the property abutting thereon as an alley; and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said alley and the public will be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of maintaining the same. - NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the above descnbed alley be, and the same is hereby, vacated as a public alley inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the publiE interest will be subserved by such vacation, said alley being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. _
