r 1 ' <br /> EXCERPTS OF THE <br /> MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> TRAFFIC AND PARKING COMMISSION <br /> Wednesday, February 11, 2003, 4:00 P.M. <br /> Item # 5 Request to prohibit parking, except between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. <br /> on school days, on both sides of South 16t`' Street between <br /> Riverside Street and Dickinson Street. <br /> Matt stated that this is a common problem around schools. The parking exemption <br /> between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. will accommodate people waiting to pick up students at the <br /> school. This is a concern at all area schools near major city streets. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Harris/Veteto) to follow staff recommendation. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Bauer suggested that meetings be changed to Tuesday, as he has a conflict on <br /> Wednesday. Staff was requested to investigate this possibility. <br />
