Representing the petitioner, Mr. Phil Cochran of Cochran Engineering, was sworn in by
Ms. Jesse.
Mr. Cochran stated that the existing building was built in 1995 and in 1997 more property
was purchased because of the expanding business of Dr. Sinha. The additional space is
needed for more employees to be able to assist more patients. Landscaping is in
accordance with the 1995 plan but it does need to meet new Zoning Ordinance that went
into effect last year; Dr. Sinha feels he is in accordance with the ordinance.
Mr. Anderson noted that one (1)person had signed up to address the Commission.
Sue Parry was swom in by Ms. Jesse.
Ms. Parry stated that her house was located at 2 Montez Drive and that she was a
neighbor of the facility. She presented pictures to the commission and stated that the '
petitioner had not installed the landscaping as originally designed. She was happy to see
the new plan and know that there would be a good opening to the parking lot. She
questioned the original plan to have a four (4) foot fence put up and stated it was never
done. Since this is her neighbor, Ms. Parry stated she just wants to see it well maintained
and landscaped.
Mr. Anderson thanked Ms. Parry and noted no other objectors were present.
It was moved and seconded (Smith/Peck) to forward Cal. No. 03-47 to City Council with
recommendation for approval with staff condition, that a landscape plan meeting the
zoning ordinance be provided prior to the City Council meeting. Motion carried
unanimously.
