, " . <br /> EXCERPTS OF THE <br /> i MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> TRAFFIC AND PARKING COMMISSION <br /> Wednesday, August 13, 2003 <br /> Engineering Conference Room <br /> Third Floor, Civic Center <br /> Item#1 Request for stop signs at the intersection of Sunset Avenue and Dennis Avenue <br /> Phil Bauer opened the meeting stating the number of accidents at this intersection have exceeded <br /> the normally expected rate of 1.5 accidents per million vehicles entering the intersection. A <br /> petition was received by Matt Newell requesting the intersection be turned into a four way stop. <br /> Staff recommended that only a two way stop be installed. Staff recommends stop signs be placed <br /> on Dennis Avenue controlling the north and south traffic. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Sober / Bauer) to follow staff recommendation. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br />
