Newell, P.E., City Engineer� <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Authorizing the Installation of Stop Signs at the Intersection of <br /> Sunset Avenue and Dennis Avenue <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends the approval of the attached Ordinance. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> At the August 2003 meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commission, the Commission approved a <br /> request from City staff and area residents to recommend the installation of stop signs at the <br /> intersection of Sunset Avenue and Dennis Avenue. This recommendation is aimed at reducing <br /> accidents at the intersection. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: No objections are anticipated. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, City Engineer, at 424-2747 <br /> The City Engineer, Matt Newell, will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any <br /> questions of the Council on this item. <br />
