Newell, City Engineer <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Authorizing the Installation of Stop Signs at the Intersection of <br /> 24th Street and Main Streets <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends the approval of the attached Ordinance. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> At the July, 2003 meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commission, the Commission approved a <br /> request from City staff to recommend the installation of stop signs at the intersection of 24th <br /> Street and Main Street. This recommendation is aimed at reducing accidents at the intersection. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: No objections are anticipated. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic and Parking Commission. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, City Engineer(424-2747) I� <br /> The City Engineer, Matt Newell, will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any ' <br /> questions of the Council on this item. �, <br />
