Newell, City Engineer �� <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Authorizing the Removal of Yield Signs and the Establishment of <br /> Stop Signs at the Intersection of 17th Street/Lincoln Avenue <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends the approval of the attached Ordinance. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> At the June 2003 meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commission, the Commission approved a <br /> request from City staff to recommend the removal of existing yield signs and the installation of <br /> stop signs at the intersection of 17th Street and Lincoln Avenue. This recommendation is aimed <br /> at reducing accidents at the intersection. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: No objections are anticipated. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic and Parking Commission <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, City Engineer(424-2747) <br /> The City Engineer, Matt Newell, will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any <br /> questions of the Council on this item. <br />
