DANE BRAGG: Good afternoon, <br /> 7 Mr . Chairman, Members of the Commission. I will <br /> 8 briefly present the staff report to you . I won' t go <br /> 9 through all four pages . I am sure you appreciate <br /> 10 it . The Petitioner, Target Corporation, proposes <br /> 11 rezoning the southwest corner of Mound Road and U. S . <br /> 12 Route 51 from R-3, which is Single Family Residence <br /> ( <br /> 13 District, to B-3 Planned Shopping Center District . <br /> 14 The subject property contains 18 . 1 acres and is <br /> 15 currently improved with two school buildings . <br /> 16 Land use to the west and south is designated <br /> 17 as low-density residential and developed as such. <br /> 18 Property to the north is in use for low density <br /> 19 residential and a public utility facility. Property <br /> 20 to the east is in use for religious institutions . <br /> 21 The proposed development would include four <br /> 22 commercial structures, totaling 173, 000 square feet <br /> 23 on four separate lots .
