ORDINANCE NO. 2002-52 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 34 - <br /> -TRAFFIC - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COLTNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Section 1 of Chapter 34 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, <br /> and the same is hereby, modified and amended by adding a definition for powntown Decatur Customer <br /> Parking Zone immediately following the definition of Downtown Area. Said amendment shall <br /> provide as follows: <br /> Downtown Decatur Customer Parkin�Z�: The following described area, and <br /> all parking spaces located therein, is hereby designated the Downtown Decatur <br /> Customer Parking Zone: Surface Parking Lot 7, located at the corner of South Main <br /> and East Main Streets; Surface Parking Lot 5, located at the corner of North Main and <br /> East William Streets; Merchant Street; and, East Prairie Street,between North Main and <br /> North Water Streets. <br /> Section 2. That Sections 71 and 80 (A), (C) and (H) of Chapter 34 of the City Code of the City <br /> of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, so that said Sections 71 and 80 <br /> (A), (C) and (H) as so modified and amended, shall provide as follows: <br /> 71. DOWNTOWN RESIDENT PARKING PERMITS. (A) Each <br /> Downtown Resident shall, upon payment of Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per month to the <br /> Finance Department of the City of Decatur, be eligible to receive a single, <br /> nontransferable "Downtown Resident Parking Permit - Class A" authorizing the vehicle <br /> described in the permit application only, to park in the Downtown Area, excluding the <br /> Customer Parking Zone, without additional fee, as follows: <br /> (i) From 3:00 P.M. through 10:00 A.M. Mondays through Saturdays, <br /> and all day Sundays, vehicles displaying valid Downtown Resident Parking Permits - <br /> Class A may be parked at any otherwise unrestricted City-controlled, metered or <br /> non-metered parking garage, surface parking lot, or street parking space, excent those <br />
