This petition was submitted prior to May 15, 2002,which is the effective date of the new <br /> Zoning Ordinance. Therefore, it is being considered under the requirements of the 1960 <br /> Ordinance. <br /> 2. The subject property currently contains a used car business. According to the petitioner, this <br /> site has been a used car lot for the past eight years. The building was originally a Kentucky <br /> Fried Chicken restaurant. The site is accessed from a short extension of North Street located <br /> between North 22"d and the railroad right-of-way. <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> 3. The petitioner recently requested a Zoning Verification from City staff for operating a <br /> vehicle dealership. The Illinois Secretary of State requires an applicant for a new or renewal <br /> auto dealer's license to verify that the premises to be used are properly zoned for vehicle I <br /> sales.
