First, the portions of the existing parking lot are zoned R-3 and need to be I <br /> conforming. Second, the Hospital has plans to extend the existing office building and parking lot � <br /> which requires an O-1 zoning. <br /> SECTION F�UR: JUSTIFICATI�N <br /> The etitioner submits to the Ci Plan Commission and Ci Council the ollowin acts addit ional a es ma be attached: <br /> This will allow the Hospital to expand its current medical office facility to enable it to attract and <br /> retain qualified medical practitioners to Decatur, Illinois. It is consistent with the present use of the <br /> property, the adjacent Hospital grounds, and present office facility to the east. This will not impact <br /> the neighborhood in any significant manner and represents a continued expansion of a contiguous <br /> use. The Hospital expects to have facilities sufficient for seventeen (17) physician offices and their <br /> staff. <br /> SECTION FIVE: CERTIFICATIOM <br /> To be placed on the agenda of the regular meeting on the first Thursday of the month at 3:00 <br /> PM in the City Council Chambers, petition must be received on the first Thursday of the <br /> preceding month. Failure of the petitioner or the petitioner's representative to attend the Plan <br /> Commission hearing may result in items being tabled. In the event a petition for rezoning is denied by the Council, another petition for a change to the same district shall not be filed within a <br /> period of one year from the date of denial, except upon the initiation of the City Council or the City Plan Commission after showing a <br /> change of circumstances which would warrant a renewal. <br /> 4.
