EXHIBTT A <br /> TO PETITION FOR REZONING <br /> CITY OF DECATUR <br /> Purpose and Justificatia�: <br /> The Petitioner, Brintlinger Co., entered into a Real Estate Purchase Agreement with Joan <br /> Fozzard on Apri12, 2002, to purchase the subject properly which is commonly known as 2714 , <br /> North Hill Avenue, Decatur, Macon County, Illinois. I <br /> The sales agreement is contingent upon having the property rezoned from its present <br /> zoning classification, R-1, to the requested zoning classification,B-2. <br /> Brintlinger Co. owns and operates the business commonly referred to as Brintlinger and <br /> Earl Funeral Home located at 2827 North Oakland, Decatur, Illinois. In addition to owning the <br /> real property where the funeral home is located, it also owns the parking lot immediately south of <br /> the funeral home as well as additional property which is currently utilized as a parking lot which <br /> � lies immediately south of Corson Street. All of the property owned by the Petitioner is currently <br /> zoned as B-2. <br /> The subject property is contiguous to real property currently owned by the Petitioner and <br /> the Petitioner hopes to develop this property in the future to further support the current business <br /> use. The Petitioner is well aware of the neighborhood in question and the Petitioner believes it <br /> has been a "good neighbor" to other owners in the neighborhood for approximately 26 years. <br /> Brintlinger and Earl is a family ovcmed business currently operated by the fourth <br /> generation of the family and has been in continuous operation in our city for more than 119 <br /> years. <br />
