The subject property which covers an area of 21,218 square feet, is currently used as a single <br /> family dwelling. It contains two structures, a main residential building measuring 30 x 55 <br /> feet approximately and an accessory building measuring 40 x 40 feet. The property is located <br /> at the corner of Corson and Hill Avenues with main access from North Hill Avenue. The <br /> site is serviced by a 6-inch water main and a 10-inch sanitary sewer connection. The property <br /> is adjacent to Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home and parking lot. <br /> 2. In Apri12001, the City Council approved a petition from Brintlinger's requesting the rezoning <br /> of a property at 1885 West Corson Avenue from R-3 Single Family Residence to B-1 <br /> Neighborhood Shopping District for the purpose of expanding their Funeral Home facility. <br /> Staff had recommended approval of the petition and urged that the petitioner exercise <br /> discretion in the proposed development in order to preserve the viable residential <br /> neighborhood. <br />
