E. Co-ax cable for antenna or computers in existing buildings. <br /> G. Wiring required for installation of industrial machinery from <br /> the existing switch or disconnect where circuit wires are of adequate size. <br /> K. Permits are valid for a period of six (6) months or with an <br /> approved extension. <br /> 9. SERVICE SPECIFICATIONS. <br /> A. All newly installed electrical services shall be in <br /> conformance with the 2002 edition of the National Electrical Code and with <br /> the following: <br /> (1) N.E.C. 230-2 Number of Services - only one service <br /> drop or lateral shall be permitted unless written approval by the Inspection <br /> Division is obtained for the conditions (a)through(d) of said Article 230-2. <br /> (2) N.E.C. 230-43 Service - entrance conductors shall be <br /> installed in accordance with the applicable requirements of this code covering <br /> the type of wiring method used and shall be limited to the following methods: <br /> (a) Rigid metal conduit; <br /> (b) Intermediate metal conduit; <br /> (c) Rigid nonmetal conduit. <br /> Any other method described shall have written consent of the Inspection <br /> Division and local utility company. <br /> (3) N.E.C. 230-70 (a) Location. The service <br /> disconnecting means shall be installed at a readily accessible location either <br /> outside of a building or structure, or inside nearest the point of entrance of the <br /> service conductors,but not to exceed ten feet. <br /> (4) Where city water is available, the electrical service <br /> shall be grounded to the cold water piping with a jumper around the water <br /> meter. <br /> 10.
