, , .. <br /> , . <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2001-89 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE AND AUTHORIZING <br /> MODIFICATION OF RATES <br /> -CHAPTER 56- <br /> -REFUSE REMOVAL - <br /> WHEREAS, on October 2, 2001, pursuant to Section 42 of Chapter 56 of the City Code, <br /> a public hearing was held regarding a proposed increase in the maximum authorized rates <br /> charged for refuse removal in the City of Decatur by licensed haulers, said hearing being <br /> conducted by Assistant City Manager Michael Mowen upon designation as hearing officer by <br /> City Manager Steve Garman; and, <br /> WHEREAS, after the closing of the record in said hearing, on November 26, 2001, <br /> Assistant City Manager Michael Mowen did file his recommendations for such rate increases <br /> with the City Clerk; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council now wishes to modify said recommendations, and further <br /> wishes to amend the City Code, at Chapter 56, in accordance with such modifications. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Section 2 of Chapter 56 of the City Code be, and it is hereby, modified <br /> and amended such that the definition of "Basic removal service" contained therein is amended <br /> and the definition of"Large item pick-up" is added thereto, said amended and added definitions <br /> to provide as follows: <br /> Basic removal service: Twice weekly removal other than landscape waste, or, at <br /> the option of a single-family household customer, once weekly removal, each with <br /> one weekly removal of landscape waste and with one annual large item pick-up. <br />
