Anderson Plaza.
Decatur, Illinois 62523
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
On behalf of the citizens of Macon County and the members of the Macon County Board, I
T submit this petition to the City of Decatur for the siting and operation of the new Macon I
County Animal Shelter. The upgrading of animal care services in our County has been a '
persona.l concern of mine and of the County Board for some time. Through hard work
and a little luck, the County and its partners in this effort are proud tq have developed the
proposal that we now submit to you.
The County and its partners will be well represented as this petition is reviewed by the
Plan Commission and the City Council. It is my belief that the public, through their
attendance, will also strongly indicate their preferences and desires at these public
forums.
Please utilize John Donovan, Macon County Director of Planning and Zoning, as the
principle contact for this petition. He can be reached at 424-1466. However, if I can be
of any particular assistance in this matter, please contact me at 424-1472.
S' cerely,
,vf
I
John W. Snyder
Macon County Board Chairman
