Exhibit 3 illustrates an overhead view of the proposed development. It should be noted
<br /> that the actual building will be sited further to the South than is shown in this picture in
<br /> order to reduce the amount of driveway needed for the facility.
<br /> HOURS OF OPERATION
<br /> The proposed facility would be available for animal control operations on a 24-hour a day
<br /> basis. However, it is not anticipated that the animal control personnel would physically
<br /> staff the building beyond their current schedule.
<br /> The hours of operation for animal shelter activities have not been defined. Currently,
<br /> animals are available for adoption between the hours of 1 la.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through
<br /> Friday. With increasing the adoption rate as a primary concern of the County and its
<br /> residents, it is likely that expanded hours would be set in order to provide individuals
<br /> with a greater opportunity to view and adopt the shelter's animals. It is anticipated that
<br /> education programs and other associated activities would be provided during business
<br /> hours and in the early evening hours.
<br /> WATER AND SEWER
<br /> Connections to municipal water and sewer services are readily available for the facility.
<br /> The properties in question are within the Sanitary District of Decatur(SDD)which
<br /> should be indicated by SDD Ordinance#314. It is anticipated that the Shelter will
<br /> connect to the 24" interceptor located along the North side of the Mound Road pavement.
